KELO-TV is a full service television station in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, broadcasting on local digital VHF channel 11 and on virtual channel 11. Founded ... See more in 1953, it is owned by Young Broadcasting, Inc. KELO is affiliated with CBS, airing CBS's primetime shows in the evening. In the morning, the station airs CBS's morning news and information program, with spots for local news and weather; in the afternoon, it airs CBS's soap operas; in the early evening, it shows CBS's national news broadcast and local newscasts. After primetime, it airs its own local newscasts, followed by CBS's late-night programming. KELO also airs local sports broadcasts. KELO's signal is multiplexed, with two subchannels. Channel 11.1 airs KELO and CBS programs; 11.2 broadcasts MyUTV, as an affiliate of MyNetworkTV, featuring repeat episodes of other networks highly rated television shows as a syndication programming service for primetime only, with syndicated programming and KELO news and weather during the rest of the schedule. The station was previously affiliated with NBC from 1954 until 1960, using CBS programming as a seconday affiliation until it became the primary in 1960.
