No longer on the air as KWBT TV, the station broadcast under the call sign "KWBT" from 1999 until 2005. KWBT served as the Tulsa
area's WB affiliate and originally owned by Cascade Broadcasting Group. In 2005, Griffin Communications purchased the WB television affiliate in Tulsa from Cascade Broadcasting. KWBT was among the highest rated WB affiliates in the country. On April 10, 2006, KWBT was announced as the Tulsa affiliate of the CW (The CW Television Network), creating The Tulsa CW. The CW is America's fifth broadcast television network and provides entertainment especially popular with young adult viewers. The station then changed its call sign to KQCW.
