KWET is a full power television station in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, broadcasting on local digital VHF channel 2 and virtual channel 12. Founded in 1978, KWET ... See more is owned by Oklahoma Educational Television Authority and branded as OETA. KWET is a member station of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). In addition to its national PBS programs, KWET airs locally produced programs about public affairs, expert advise, conservation, tourism and business. KWET's channel is multiplexed, with two subchannels. Channel 12.1 airs OETA and PBS programming; 12.2 shows OETA OKLA, a selection of PBS and OETA programming and encore showings of OETA and PBS programs. Other OETA channels are available on cable, and OETA plans on adding these channels to the over-the-air signals. OETA Kids, with PBS programs, is shown from local time 5:00 am until midnight, and from midnight to 5:00 am, the channel shows travell and adventure programs.
