Founded in 1989 as K60EE, UHF channel 60, it owned by Drewry Communications Group. It is an affiliate of Telemundo, an American television network with original programming, including telenovelas and news broadcasts in Spanish. In addition to its Telemundo programs, KTLE airs its own nightly newscasts, produced by KWES. K60EE changed its call sign to KTLE in 2002 and its channel to 20 in 2004.
