In addition to its PBS programs, WPT produces and airs public affairs programs, history and culture documentaries and series, and local sports events. WHA-TV's channel is multiplexed, with three subchannels. Channel 21.1 airs PBS and WPT-HD Network programs in standard definition and ECB instructional programming weekdays from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm; 21.2 WIS, The Wisconsin Channel features WPT programs about state issues and state history, university lectures, new local programs and performances from Wisconsin arts groups from 1:00 pm until 9:00 am and PBS Kids weekdays from 9 a.m. to 1 pm, and 21.3 shows WPT Create with how-to programs and information.
