BCfm started broadcasting on March 26th 2007 to the city of Bristol. This was the culmination of many years of community development and radio projects in Bristol, such as radio19 (the New Deal for Communities), Commonwealth fm and B200fm (Celebration of Brunel’s life).

Anybody can be involved with BCfm and on an average week you will hear about 45 different programmes being broadcast by many different types of people who represent an area, age, religion, agency or just themselves! We broadcast in about nine different languages and aim to represent the WHOLE of Bristol and Bristol life. Local music is a big part of what we do as well.
