This is a great 80's New Wave station! You hear some of the big hits of the era but you also get more from the artists who defined the new wave genre such as Duran Duran, The Police, Thompson Twins (more than just "Hold me now"), The Cars, Blondie, The Cure, Ramones, even XTC, Psychedelic Furs and Elvis Costello! This is not really a general 80's hits station. You won't hear Madonna, Micheal Jackson or Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. This is more of a New Wave / Classic Alternative format with a lot of surprises between the big hits! Check this out if you'd like to get more into the new wave genre that defined the 1980's and influenced many of the artists of alternative rock to this day! FYI: The negative reviews below are from a previous format. This station has had the current format since summer 2014.

Love it! :D The 80's channel is a great station to listen to because modern music isn't very good due to no real instruments are used, its all synthesized and autotuned. Music back in the 80's were actually done with talent!

I rated this station one star but when I posted it, all of a sudden 5 stars appeared. Why is that? Listen to 1240 am on your radio dial if you want to hear really good music from the 50's and 60's.

I like the oldies from the 50's and 60's. Tune in to 1240 am if you want to hear those again. This station used to play them but not anymore.
