Much of its programming is aimed towards children, with documentaries and films for adults. TFO was branded La Chaîne Française from 1987 until 1995, when it changed to TFO (Télé-Française d'Ontario). As well, TFO produces and freely distributes multimedia teaching resources for kindergarten through Grade 12 to Ontario schools.
