The CW Television Network which features on a mixture of programming mostly targeted towards women and young adults. KMYS first signed on air in 1985, founded by TVX Broadcast Group and was than known as KRRT, and until 1987 it was an independent station. it was the first new English station in the San Antonio area in 28 years. In 1987 KRRT became a Fox affiliate, but it was still owned by TVX Broadcasting, who was acquired by Paramount pictures in 1991, and by 1995 KRRT switched affiliations to UPN. it didn't stay in Paramount's possession for very long, in 1995 the staion was sold to Jet Broadcasting who then sold the station to Glencairn, Ltd in 1997. in 1998 Affiliation changed again to the WB but when WB and UPN merged KRRT changed affiliations yet again to MyNetworkTV in 2006, and they changed they call sign to the current KMYS. It stayed affiliated with MNT until 2010 when KMYS swapped affiliations with local KCWX.
