In addition to its PBS programming, WEDY airs locally produced programs with information concerning local interest, culture, history and education. CPTV also broadcasts the University of Connecticut's women's basketball games. WEDY's channel is multiplexed, with CPBN and PBS programming on 65.1; on 65.2 is CPTV4U, with PBS Encore, and on 65.3 is Create, with programs about do-it-yourself information. WEDY was off the air due to equipment failure from 2005 until 2009.
