WJTV is affiliated with CBS, airing CBS's primetime shows in the evening. In the morning, the station airs CBS's morning news and information program, with spots for local news and weather; in the afternoon, it airs CBS's soap operas; in the early evening, it shows CBS's national news broadcast and local newscasts. After primetime, it airs its own local newscasts, followed by CBS's late-night programming. WJTV also airs local sports broadcasts. WJTV's channel is multiplexed, with three subchannels. Channel 12.1 airs WJTV and CBS programs; 12.2 broadcasts local weather, and 12.3 shows Antenna TV, with classic television programs and movies. WJTV has been a CBS affiliate since being founded and from 1953 until 1970, it has had secondary affiliations with NBC, DuMont and ABC. The station has always used WJTV call sign, but it has had several different channel numbers. From 1953 until 1955, it was on channel 25; from 1955 until 2009, it was on channel 12, and was on digital channel 53 during transition from analog to digital signals, after which it returned to channel 12.
