See more Daystar Television Network, an American evangelical Christian television religious broadcasting network headquartered near Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Bedford, Texas. It is broadcast world-wide via satellite. It was founded in 1993, when Marcus Lamb and his Word of God Fellowship ministry purchased a formerly defunct UHF station in Dallas called KMPX, and started broadcasting Christian programming. By 1997, Daystar was a network of two stations, one in Colorado and one in Texas. By 2011, the network had grown to cover 200 countries. In 2010, Daystar became the first full time Christian network to build a TV station in Israel. When WUHQ started broadcasting in 2003, it was an affiliate of America's Store programming. In 2005, WUHQ added programming from Urban American Television (UATV) and the Mas Musica network becoming a Spanish and English language television station. In 2006, when Mas Musica became Tr3s, MTV's Spanish language music network, WUHQ carried MTV Tr3s programming, along with some shows from America One. In June 2006, Equity under the license name of "Marquette Broadcasting", acquired WUHQ from P & P Cable Holdings.In 2007, WUHQ-LP switched affiliations to LAT TV for a short time, until Equity started its own music video network, Retro Jams. WUHQ also became affiliated with the Retro Television Network for a short time, before a contract dispute between Equity and RTN led to WUHQ's reaffiliation with Retro Jams. WUHQ was sold to the Daystar Television Network in 2009.
